Some of Alan's photos from the weekend

All done for another year

We had about 1000 people through, same as last year. The show looked fabulous. Each person had more space and everyones work was wonderful. All 15 artists were happy with the weekend. We had lots of compliments about the look of the show and the quality of work.

The Childrens' activities with the grant from Wirral Culture for All run by the Playout! workers and 3 of the artist were very well received as was the cafe run by 3 local businesses, Pete from The Green Room, Jo and the gang from The Green Community Shop and Centre and Nicola and family from Green Eats catering. The staff at the Williamson were fantastic, helping with set up and take down and taking phonecalls, ordering paint.

Thanks go to Eleanor for designing our lovely poster and for helping with the children's activities, to Theresia for being so efficient with the layout, to Alan for being our photographer, being my sounding board and for doing a mail drop, to Lynda for the job of treasurer, to Marie for the help with Big Draw and the Children's activities, to Patsy for organising the wine and to all the helpers (Gail, Sue, and Kevin) for the opening, to Jacqui and husband for helping with the mayor and minute taking and organising refreshments folks, to Des for helping with the children's activities, to Judith for minute taking, and being a sounding board,to Janine for helping at The Big Draw and providing the lovely buttons for Judith's class and for making Eleanor!, to Sherilyn for helping hanging the kids work for the Big Draw, to Roy for helping hanging my show and being there to help with Mark's work to (even if he wasn't there), to Lousie and Mark thanks for helping with tidying the other room at the end, to Ken for becoming well again and offering help, thank you to Brendan for updating the website.... The 4 workshops will be run with an open access policy which means that the children and young people that access the workshops are free to come and go as they choose. Activities will be conducted in a safe and supervised environment, but Play Workers and the artists are not responsible for children and young people who leave the activity site. The Playout! workers are all CRB checked.

It is important that any parents/guardians who drop their children off to the workshop area, understands the Open Access policy. Children do not need to register for the workshops, but if parents want to leave their contact details they can.

Children under 8 should have an accompanying responsible adult who remains within the room (the room for the activities is where the café will be and if your child is happy for you to leave them with the leaders, please feel able to enjoy a coffee while they have fun).

The artists will be present for the first hour of each workshop and then the Playout! workers will take over for the last hour.

All activities are free of charge . The Oxton Artists and Playout! aim to reflect the different cultures within our community and promote equal opportunities through our activities. These workshops were made possible with a grant from Wirral Culture for all.
