All done for another year

We had about 1000 people through, same as last year. The show looked fabulous. Each person had more space and everyones work was wonderful. All 15 artists were happy with the weekend. We had lots of compliments about the look of the show and the quality of work.

The Childrens' activities with the grant from Wirral Culture for All run by the Playout! workers and 3 of the artist were very well received as was the cafe run by 3 local businesses, Pete from The Green Room, Jo and the gang from The Green Community Shop and Centre and Nicola and family from Green Eats catering. The staff at the Williamson were fantastic, helping with set up and take down and taking phonecalls, ordering paint.

  1. Thank you to my lovely husband for helping with the kids and carrying the stuff in and to my brother, Peter for bringing much of my work home in his big car.

  2. The show looked really fabulous and it was a great weekend, which somehow whizzed by and is unbeleivably all over for another year. As the fifth fair we have organised I was struck by how much better the show gets each year. The first year we did it I had only just started making jewellery and I needed just one table to display my work... this year I filled considerably more space!

I was really impressed with all the work produced by the kids at the artist run workshops over the weekend. Their enormous paintings and drawings were displayed on the gallery walls. I ran the Junk Jewellery workshop on Sunday and the kids all created their own unique bracelets form old recycled buttons, and really seemd to have enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to all everyone involved for doing their bit in the setting up and running of the shows.
