New Exhibitor to Oxton Artists - Liz Glover Hadwin

LIZ HADWIN-GLOVER – “Photography is something I have almost always done, have done with serious intent, and recently come back to. I take pictures of people and make traditional black and white prints. I like the print-making process –“drawing with light” – and the beauty and sensitivity of black and white photography. I like the way people show something on themselves to camera”

Williamson Art Gallery and Museum

We are running the Big Draw event at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead/Oxton on the 11th of October 11 until 4 along with other local artists. We heard yesterday that not only are the Williamson providing the venue and allowing us to have a cafe, they will also be providing some money for materials. Well done!

Daniel James _ Exhibitor 2009

Daniel James BA (Hons) Fine Art
Daniel is constantly looking to re-interpret culture around him. Previously a commercial photographer he retrained as a fine artist. He works in a number of different mediums including sculpture, collage, photography, installation and painting. The subject matter and concept demands which medium is used to translate his feelings. He has completed two year long NHS commissions and is currently working on the third. He also welcomes private commissions on request.

Following on from the previous entry. I also need 200 words

Bearing in mind it is an eco design fair and Liverpool Design Festival, there are reasons for my inclusions of a few peoples names (including my own) but can not include everyone. I would like feedback from all participating exhibitors of 2009 and anyone good at proof reading

"The Oxton Artists wish to tempt you across the water to the Williamson Art Gallery near the beautiful village of Oxton, just beyond Birkenhead. The Oxton Art Fair has a wonderful reputation of showing a mixture of artists who show regularly in Liverpool and beyond, and those who only exhibit with the Oxton Art Fair, showing a balance of traditional and contemporary art and photography alongside craft and design while offering a relaxed, friendly environment to talk to and buy directly from 20 local artists, designers and craftspeople with our lovely fair Trade café offered by local charity The Green Community Shop and Centre. There will be artist demonstrations throughout the weekend. We are delighted that we have selected 3 new Oxton Artists this year to join us in addition to the return of past exhibitors as well as new collaborations between exhibitors. We have several craftspeople offering the best in eco design – Alison Bailey Smith will be launching her new range of eco accessories called “Junk Jewellery”, Judith Brown will showing her range of jewellery that incorporates vintage buttons and buckles, as well as collage work by Eimear Kavanagh and Lynda Roberts"

50 words to describe the Oxton Art Fair

I am doing the wording for our partnering with the Liverpool Design Festival and need some feedback on the wording

"6th Annual Oxton Art Fair at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead offers a relaxed, friendly opportunity to talk to and buy directly from 20 local artists, designers and craftspeople with a Fairtrade café and artist demonstrations. There will 3 new Oxton Artists this year in addition to past exhibitors as well as new collaborations between exhibitors"
