
Alison Bailey Smith, Oxton Artist is a finalist in the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce's Environmental Art Award for Electra, a sculpture made in 2008 an exhibited at the Oxton Art Fair last year. The winner will be announced at a special dinner on the 26th of November at the Anglican Cathedral
Alison originally trained in Jewellery at Edinburgh College of Art but her work crosses jewellery, costume & sculpture.. She has worked with recycled materials for 20 years and this year she will be showing her new range of “Junk Jewellery”. Her pieces are in museum collections & private collections around the world. She was been appointed arts liaison officer for 2Bio Ltd in Liverpool in October 2008 and has also instigated a new creative networking event called “With These Hands”.
