Remember NOvember

Direct from the studio
The fifth
Oxton Art Fair
Williamson Art Gallery and Museum on Slatey Rd
Birkenhead/Oxton
22nd of November Saturday from 10am until 5pm and 23rd of November Sunday from 10am until 4.30m

It is that time again when the Oxton Artists show their work direct from their studios to the Williamson Art Gallery in the fifth Annual Oxton Art Fair, offering a rare opportunity to talk directly to the artists and even buy their work. There are many of the original exhibitors and in addition we have several new members. The main organiser and exhibitor, Alison Bailey Smith said “Yet again, despite our very local remit, we have a very international group with newcomers, Janine Suggett originally from Paris and Theresia Cadwallader who was born in Java. We also have our first ever “Mother and daughter” exhibitors as Janine will also be joined by her daughter Eleanor, who graduated last year with a first class Honours from Central Saint Martins in London “

The fair started in 2004 by a group of friends who were aware that there was a core of artists residing in the area and an influx of artists formerly of the area returning from overseas and newcomers attracted to the community atmosphere and picturesque village. All of the artists and craftspeople live in Oxton (apart from three who joined the group then moved out of the boundaries of Oxton).
